I have been teaching yoga in Vancouver since 2006, and a certificed Iyengar Instructor sine 2013. Coming from a background in professional contemporary and aerial dance, I bring decades of experiential knowledge of human movement and gentle hands on assists into my work. A constant student, I continue to study with senior Iyengar instructors. As a mother of two young children, I understand the demands of parenthood, little free time, and a busy life.

Student Testimonials

“Taking private classes with Meghan after I suffered an MS relapse that affected my mobility was so beneficial. We were able to work on the areas that were most affected and she gave me suggestions for practices I could work on at home. I felt like even though the classes were very gentle I was still challenged and could see improvements. Our classes together lifted my spirits and helped me to stay positive. Within a couple months I was able to join back in our group class and we both had a good understanding of my goals and challenges.” -Lindsey

“Meghan is one of my favourite yoga instructors.  Her teachings are clear and specific, and she helps me connect with parts of my body that usually go unnoticed.  I find the Iyengar approach to work my body more deeply and safely than other forms of yoga.  I highly recommend taking an Iyengar class with Meghan!”-Nicola

“Why I continue to practice yoga with Meghan?  Well…because she is awesome! 🙂 But if you want something more specific of why I like her classes and teaching: Clear directions, clear demonstrations, offer lots of different options and adaptations so that everyone is included on all the poses. Encouraging and respectful of everyone’s level. Creates a class that is kind and thoughtful – one that lifts us all up.”-Laura 🙂

“I have been taking Meghan’s classes since 2019. Her attention to detail, sense of the spirituality of yoga, and thoughtful choice of poses which build on each other is inspiring. I feel, as a result of Meghan’s teaching, I am much more open to my mental, physical, and emotional elements. I have progressed significantly in my mind-body connection.” -Wendy

“Iyengar yoga will improve your posture, flexibility and balance. A teacher like Meghan will help you to achieve this while accommodating any injury or deficit in your body. She offers many levels of practice, and her corrections and guidance will greatly improve your practice.”-Rebecca

“I enjoy Meghan’s classes so much that I’ve been learning from her for 9 years. I always feel better after one of her classes. I’ve never had the same class twice and Meghan’s unpretentiousness makes the classes fun. Her knowledge is vast and Meghan has helped me recover from surgery and injuries over the years with modifications. I can’t recommend her enough”.-Holly

“I have been practicing yoga with Meghan for 11 years and yet in every class I learn something new. Her knowledge of the human body and thoughtful guidance on the connection between body and mind make each class a nourishing experience.”-Johanka

“I feel so lucky to have Meghan as a teacher! I have studied with her for 10 years and every class has felt new and interesting. Her direction is clear, easy to follow and she always provides options. She asks you your personal goals and will then bring those ideas into her class. The classes have helped me to move more freely in my body.”-Jane

“When I first started my yoga practice in earnest three years ago, I wasn’t ready for Meghan Goodman and ironically, she teaches what is for me the most accessible style of yoga, Iyengar.  I wasn’t up to the challenge of even standing properly!! Now I have incorporated her classes into my regular weekly yoga routine and seemingly cannot do without them or her. If you carry injury in your body,  have a mind that is fascinated with the mechanics of the human form, want a hands-on and ‘attention to detail’ experience with your yoga practice I urge you to get to know Iyengar yoga. Meghan is a wonderful teacher. She has a lovely way with the practice – correcting postures, suggesting alternatives, being conscious of making sure that you work within your limits. It’s all very gentle and supportive and calm.  The next day however, guaranteed, your muscles are on fire. How do these two things go together?  That is the wonder of it.  Before long, I will be walking this earth like a panther. I look forward to it. To my friends I call Meghan’s classes the ballet of yoga.  The rigour, the correction of posture, the fluidity, the seriousness of intent, the lengthening, smoothing and tightening of muscle but without the gendered stuff. What’s not to love?”-Faith
