Tracing Traces combines storytelling with dance and photography. In a darkened room the performers dance to create striking, luminescent light paintings. The photographs are projected for the audience to view, adding a visual layer to the movement and text. This work was created by Body Narratives, a dance-based collective with an interdisciplinary focus, featuring members Julia Carr, Siobhan Sloane-Seale and Meghan Goodman, in collaboration with artist/engineer Even Oldridge.
The piece is 15 minutes long and show times are 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm, (break), 9pm and 9:30pm on Saturday Jan 29th.
Tickets: $5-10 sliding scale
Location: 1405 Anderson Street, Granville Island
(Unfortunately, this venue is not wheelchair accessible and requires audience members to climb two flights of stairs.)
This is an intimate space, so come a little early to make sure you can find the space and get a ticket.
***Also I will be performing a pop-up aerial dance with Aeriosa on Granville Island during the Winterruption Festival on February 26th and 27th. Times TBA. Hope to see you then.
