Greetings from Vietnam, where my husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon with adventures on planes, trains, boats and buses as we traverse the country from North to South. Soon we are off to Cambodia and then Thailand, before we head back to Vancouver for the new year.
I am excited to be offering a wide range of Iyengar yoga classes and workshops in the winter of 2015. At Green Room Yoga the small class size and progressive nature of a pre-registered class allows for a safe and supportive environment for deepening ones practice. This class in geared towards yoga students with some experience who would like to work on their strength, flexibility, inversions andis a pre-register classes with some room for drop-ins, it is $14 to drop in your first time.

Suitable for those new to yoga, and/or new to Iyengar Yoga. Even practiced yogis will find a Level 1 class will help them discover fundamental principles that will refine and deepen their practice. The cost is $216 to pre-register for the 13 weeks of classes. The class size is small so you get lots of attention, plus this studio is well stocked with all of the props that make an Iyengar practice so unique, safe and rich in learning.

An Introduction to Yoga in the Ropes
Join Iyengar Yoga instructors Siobhan Sloane-Seale & Meghan Goodman for an afternoon workshop on Saturday February 21st from 2-4:30pm at Yoga on 7th
(156 East 7th Ave – laneway entrance)
This 2.5 hour workshop will teach you how to use the ropes and sling for basic poses such as chest opening, Urdhva Hastasana, standing poses, and also for more complex poses like inversions such as Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand preparation) and Sirsasana (headstand in the sling). The ropes teach your body the correct physical actions and therefore help you achieve the most benefits from each pose. There will be time to ask questions during and after the workshop.
Meghan and Siobhan are both yoga instructors and professional dance artists. Between them they have 32 years of yoga practice and 12 years of teaching experience. They completed their Iyengar yoga certification with well over 1300 hours of training each.
